PEUGEOT MOTOCYCLES ANNOUNCES THE ARRIVAL IN DEALERSHIPS OF

PEUGEOT PULSION

THE NEW CONNECTED URBAN GT 125cc SCOOTER

Paris, April 25th - Peugeot Motocycles is revolutionising the GT/Compact GT sector with the arrival of the Peugeot Pulsion on the market. With this addition to its current range of 125cc models, Peugeot Motocycles confirms its position as a key player in urban mobility and enhances its premium offer.

This latest innovation is the first scooter in the range to incorporate a new technology owned by the Peugeot Motocycles brand: i-Connect, inspired by the Peugeot i-Cockpit. Peugeot Pulsion represents a unique urban riding experience with all the safety of a two-wheeler in line with its times. The city is its favourite playground.

With its excellent ease of handling and agility in the city, Peugeot Pulsion carries technologies that are unique in the GT/Compact GT sector and introduces by itself a new segment: “Urban GT”.

Peugeot Pulsion is developed and manufactured at the Mandeure factory in France, the historical home of the company.

There will be three versions of the Peugeot Pulsion available:

Peugeot Pulsion ACTIVE

The Active version has been entirely designed with the city in mind: easy handling and agility, to weave in and out of traffic in complete safety.

A unique sharp design

Peugeot Pulsion design highlights its membership to the Peugeot family with particular attention to details such as its analogue speed dial and rpm indicator, its inverted rev. counter echoing that of the Peugeot 308.

Peugeot Pulsion presents a contemporary and dynamic silhouette, with energetic proportions and finely crafted style. An Urban GT with a strong personality.

Sharp precise muscular lines bring out the beauty of the front of the scooter. The Full-LED headlights are enhanced by vents that are testament to its modern design. Black and chrome masks bring structure to its visual appeal for a sharp look.

The LED light signature, reproducing the "Lion's teeth" as unveiled on the new Peugeot 508, is distinctive and immediately recognisable.                            .

The chequerboard air intake grill with chrome trim also pays its own tribute to the Peugeot family DNA.

The “3 claws” LED rear lights are outstanding breathtaking. The crystal clarity and 3D effect of these lights make them absolute gems of technology. These light signatures, on in daytime and for night riding, are directly inspired by the Peugeot Instinct car concept, which is also found on the latest Peugeot Automobiles models.

Lastly, the wheels with diamond finish on the rims (for the Active and Allure versions), a sculpted wind deflector, and the well-crafted footrests all combine to emphasise a sharp-edged musculature, bringing adventurous style to Peugeot Pulsion.

With all these styling details, Peugeot Pulsion continues to lineage of the latest additions to the Peugeot Motocycles family.

i-Connect: an innovative solution for everyday navigating

Peugeot Pulsion introduces i-Connect, the two-wheeler version of the Peugeot Automobiles i-Cockpit, developed specifically by Peugeot Motocycles and completely unique in the world of two-wheelers.

i-Connect is based on the combination of 3 exclusive components, further evidence of Peugeot Motocycles taste innovation :

-          “Head-up” riding enabled by the ergonomic position of the TFT colour screen.

-          An ergonomic “rider/scooter/driving seat” triangle optimised in particular thanks to the curved handlebars that are used to reduce the range of movement needed for manœuvring, which boosts the riders speed and agility by offering a more relaxed driving position.

-          A dedicated application connected to the scooter for the latest in functional digital experience: the rider is able to receive text messages and calls, whilst driving and read them when stopped, but only an information line. This means the driver can always be contacted and can deal with any emergencies.

With these 3 components, i-Connect makes driving more interactive, more instinctive and safer. The driver feels at one with Peugeot Pulsion, thanks to the vehicle’s ergonomics that adapt to the rider as much as possible.

The mobile app and built-in GPS allow the user to plan his/her journeys to make everyday travel easier, whilst taking into account traffic data.

The two triggers positioned on the handlebars allow TFT screen display customisation, so that the driver can view his/her journeys more intuitively and can adjust various Menu settings.

High level safety

Peugeot Motocycles is the first manufacturer to offer a Daytime Running Light (DRL) light signature in the 125cc scooter segment, for maximum safety in day time and night time. The ABS on both wheels, in conjunction with synchronised braking SBC*, provides unique performance in this segment. Riding is made easier by acceleration implemented using the right hand and braking only using the left hand. Another Peugeot Motocycles innovation, Peugeot Pulsion has hazard warning lights that come on automatically in the event of emergency braking, introduced for the Peugeot Metropolis in 2017.

Other characteristics

Peugeot Pulsion claims its dynamism with its Peugeot Motocycles made PowerMotion 125cc 14.6 hp injection engine, and liquid cooling. Supported by a generous engine torque of 11.9Nm at 7000 rpm, it provides robust accelerations and efficient restarts.

With its short wheelbase of 1435mm, its compactness, its contained weight under 170kg and its 14-inch front wheel, combined with its connectivity, Peugeot Pulsion is an impressive Urban GT. No need to look very often at the fuel gauge, as the generous 12l tank and low fuel consumption rating of 2.9L/100km allow for great getaways.

Ever practical, the smart key in your pocket allows for keyless ignition. Need to find the scooter quickly? No stress, pressing the smart key will quickly allow you to identify your scooter thanks to the “Find-Me” function, which switches on the hazard warning lights. For improved convenience, simply pressing the dedicated buttons will unlock the petrol cap, as well as the saddle. Peugeot Pulsion can also accommodate a full-face helmet and an open-face helmet stored safely under the seat.  For riding tandem, the passenger will have a comfortable ride thanks to the soft saddle and the well-designed fold-away footrests and grab handles.
